A 3-month Catch Up, in Pictures..

Doing what I do best, and using pictures to tell our story!

The last 3 months of our lives have flown by at an incredible rate, and I am so happy that spring is almost at our door. We get a small glimpse of it here and there, bookended by snow storms and raw, cold days. I am dreaming of being outside again, going for walks, playing at the park, blowing bubbles, drawing with chalk, eventually going to the beach! and swimming! It seems like it will never get here, yet I know it is just around the corner. With the way life is moving lately, I will blink my eyes and VOILA, spring!

Until then, here's a look at what we've been doing this winter..

I went back to work

We completely redid our kitchen from top to bottom.
This is the BEFORE
Same view... much messier but also MUCH different!
(Full post on all the work is coming... soon?)

Allie moved to her own bed

The side came off Anna's crib, giving her a "big girl bed"

We had our first overnight away from Allie [at a wedding in NY] and I promptly got the stomach virus at 10pm and spent the entire night SICK AS A DOG (then trapped by an ice storm and unable to get home to Anna, who had also caught it!)

We ate a lot of frozen yogurt.

Lots

Frozen yogurt is winter food, right?

Allie started eating "solids" (aka not just milk)
testing out the ol' leftover highchair

hmmmm what is this?

GIVE ME MORE!

Little old man likes green beans

OH YEAH MOM! You've been holding out on me!

Trying a sippy cup of water too

mmm avocado face!

Trying puffs for the first time too!

Anna played in the snow... and LOVED IT (amen)

We got outside too!

A freak snowstorm in March while staying with Grammy & Poppy

riding on the 50 year old sled

It was cold... a lot

Does this coat make me look chubby?

Where's Waldo?

We snuggled, built forts, watched movies, ate a lot..

Anna chillin on the heated floor

Do I have crazy hair or what?

LOVE!

We signed Anna up for pre-school in the fall (SO exciting and scary!!) I think she is going to do so great and love it. She is only going 2 half-days (possibly 3 days if a spot opens up). We also signed her up for 3 weeks of summer camp at the same place (9-12:30) so she can get accustomed to the school and it won't all feel so 'foreign' in September.

We took Allie's 6-month photos, just like we did with Anna. Can't wait to get the final products back!

Doug and I took our first VACATION in about 5 years that did not include a pregnancy, a kid, or a work trip. We went to Sanibel Island Florida for 4 days and it was glorious.

The girls stayed with their grandparents (split up to help make it easy on them!) and everyone had a GREAT time!

We learned our toes are tasty (and our rolls too)

We had our first sister bath time (still need Allie to be sitting up better before we can do more)

Allie learned that food is GOOOOOD. Give me all the food!

Pizza crust teether

give me that fried chicken Daddy!

Doug and I tried Blue Apron food delivery and have fallen in LOVE. Great food, affordable, but somewhat labor intensive. It always pays off...

Someone wore Daddy's old flannel shirt after a major poop explosion and could not have looked cuter

And Anna started to learn the secrets of the DePerry family sauce...

So that's where we've been hiding over the past few months. SPRING... where are you???
